The Listening Eye: Eugeni Bonet — Screens, Projections, Writings

The Listening Eye. Eugeni Bonet, MACBA, 2014

A survey of the work of Eugeni Bonet, a key figure in cinema, video and digital media in Spain, on view at MACBA in 2014 and curated by Valentín Roma. The exhibition was organised in three sections – Screens, Projections and Writings – spanning his activity as curator, artist and theorist from the early 1970s onward.

The Listening Eye brought together Eugeni Bonet's work from the early 1970s to the present, on view at MACBA from 16 May to 31 August 2014. Curated by Valentín Roma, the exhibition was organised in three sections: Screens, presenting Bonet's activity as curator and programmer through a selection of audiovisual programmes; Projections, dedicated to his own artistic practice; and Writings. In parallel MACBA published a volume gathering Bonet's most significant texts, many first printed in out-of-print magazines, fanzines and catalogues, with further material made available through an online microsite.
