Basel Abbas & Ruanne Abou-Rahme
Artist duo working across video, sound, installation and text, addressing memory, displacement and the politics of the archive in Palestine. Basel Abbas was born in Nicosia and Ruanne Abou-Rahme in Boston, both in 1983; they began collaborating in 2009. Their ongoing project May amnesia never kiss us on the mouth (2020–) is co-commissioned by MoMA and Dia Art Foundation.
